I’m not a huge fan of holidays, particularly New Years Eve. The idea of an alcohol- fueled reset of our lives based on a recurring orbital occurrence presents a more superficial mythology than I’m willing to go along with. While some lose themselves in the party and the crowd, others face a continuance of grief and unchanging worry. It’s just December 32nd as far as they’re concerned.
